Acai Bowls.

One of my favourite things to eat all year round, but especially in the summer is Acai Bowls. I was constantly buying them out, so i decided to make my own with all my favourite fruits. The great thing about them is that there is no right or wrong, just add whatever fruit you like best. Here’s how i like to make my Acai Bowls at home.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Acai packet
  • 1 Banana
  • Handful of spinach
  • 1 mango
  • Mixed berries
  • Watermelon
  • Ice
  • Chia seeds
  • Your choice of granola (mine’s paleo cause i’m lame and can’t eat gluten)
  • Honey (not pictured)

 

How to:

Chuck into the blender the Acai packet, watermelon, half the banana, berries, chia seeds, ice and spinach. Trick is to add a fruit that is quite watery (watermelon) so that it helps blend the mix without adding any other liquids (coconut water, almond milk, water) Another tip is to wait till everything is almost blended before add your chia seeds, that way the seeds won’t get stuck to the jug. Once everything is blended pour into a bowl, i add my mango slices, the other half of the banana, granola and honey. You could really add anything you want, fresh strawberries is also amazing.
